Reflection on my Thoughts After Reading the Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas made me feel really sad  because of whole concept of World War II and the deaths of all the Jews and Pavel, Bruno and Shmuel. I personally did not like the ending at all. The  reason I didn’t like the ending is because I  didn’t expect it. I honestly did not expect that both Shmuel and Bruno would die. I thought Shmuel would die but not Bruno. To be fair to the author the ending did fit the book and looking back at this the author chose a fitting way to end the book but still I don’t like it because it’s too dark for me and depressing for me.
